Vol. 1 No. 4 (2020): Emergency Vehicle Brake in case of Brake Failure
Abstract
Most vehicles are changing various aspects such as speed, shape, design and luxury but still the system of braking remains the same. Braking system is a vital system which causes the vehicle to stop or reduce speed. Many accidents occur due to brake system failure which happens abrupt
during driving down the hill and the vehicle accelerating more and more. The driving safety and braking performance must be considered in high rate because it is very important matter for the human life. The brake system failure may lead to damage to vehicles, loss of properties, deaths
and injuries as accidents are likely to occur. To control these challenges, the research aimed to design emergency braking system in case of brake failure which will be operated only when the normal braking in not functioning. The vehicle speed controller system will consist of the
electromagnetic emergence braking system which will be actuated by a sensor after sensing the current brake failure. This will help to prevent many accidents which may occur due to brake failure. Electromagnetic emergence braking system consists of a sensor which reads the current
brake failure and send signal to the electronic control module that interprets the signals and command the actuator temporary electromagnetic coils. The coils act as brake pads for stopping
rotor disc that in return stops the vehicle.
